Across this exhibition, printmaking is presented as a lively and expansive field, bringing together photography, lithographs, etchings, lightboxes, and fine art editions by artists represented by Page Galleries, alongside a small number of special guests.
The exhibition considers what happens when an artwork exists not as a single unique object, but as part of an edition. Made in multiples yet released in limited quantities, editioned works offer a point of access for new and established collectors while retaining the care, intention, and scarcity associated with original artworks.
The exhibition features two exceptionally beautiful handmade etchings by Gretchen Albrecht, Reflection, 2023 and Spanish Smoke, 2023. For Albrecht, printmaking is not simply a secondary practice to her painting, Albrecht’s prints are a way for the artist to create artworks that explore shape and composition alongside her renowned painting practice.
Exclusive to Page Galleries, the exhibition also presents new editions by Reuben Paterson, Star Gossage and Karl Maughan all hand signed and editioned by the artists.
Reuben Paterson’s Please don’t take my sunshine away, 2026, is a limited-edition screenprint featuring the artist’s signature glittering surface. Though originally written as a song, You Are My Sunshine has become a lullaby carried across generations. In Please don’t take my sunshine away, its familiar refrain speaks to the quiet vulnerability of caring deeply for something and hoping it will remain.
For the 2025 exhibition Reclaimed Land: Tāngata, Tiriti, Taiao at The New Zealand Portrait Gallery, Star Gossage was commissioned to create a painting responding to the exhibition’s focus on intimate portraits of the earth, told through personal, ancestral and collective relationships between he tāngata and te taiao. The result was Star’s exceptional painting Layered Histories, 2025. We are delighted to now offer a giclée print of this beautiful artwork.
Karl Maughan’s recent Manawatū exhibition at Page Galleries was an outstanding success. For those who missed out, a giclée print of the standout painting, Bunnythorpe, 2026, now gives a wider audience the opportunity to bring Karl's vibrant artworks into their own spaces.
